11 of the Most Spectacularly Gorgeous Beauty Looks From the 2019 Met Gala

We needed a moment to pick our jaws up off the floor after the 2019 Met GalaTM. As always, the red carpet was filled with fantastic fashion — but the “Camp” theme made this year’s show particularly rife with wild beauty looks. Below, 11 of the most stunning hair and makeup spectacles.

Katy Perry

“Luminous” doesn’t even begin to describe the popstar, who seemed to be paying homage to a certain Beauty and the BeastTM character with her chandelier headpiece. Perry’s lashes were full, fluffy, and dramatic, though she kept the rest of her makeup look understated and fresh.

Darren Criss

Criss’s swooping azure eyeshadow and matching mascara made him appear like a peacock personified. A single stripe of crimson across the bottom lip completed the dashing look.

We’d never have thought to combine more than two dominant makeup hues in a single look — but Cox’s sky blue eyeshadow, plum gloss, and peony pink blush are making us reconsider. Bonus points for the subtle turquoise hue in her blonde hair.

Emily Blunt

Blunt’s makeup appeared simple from afar, but a closer look reveals a smattering of gold glitter flecks across her cheeks that perfectly coordinated with her overall look. We’re enthralled by the metallic floral headpiece from Stephen Jones, too.

Makeup: Jenn Streicher for Charlotte Tilbury®

Key products: Paul Mitchell® Firm Style Super Clean Sculpting Gel ($11), Charlotte Tilbury GlowgasmTM Face Palette ($75)

Lucy Boynton

Boynton was literally starry-eyed, thanks to diamond-like appliques framing her eyes. Her skin and lips both looked flushed and natural — a gorgeous contrast with her fairy-like blue hair.

Hair: Jenny Cho for Suave®

Makeup: Jo Baker for Chanel® Makeup

Key products: Suave Professionals® Firm Control Boosting Mousse ($3), CHANEL Rouge Coco GlossTM in Aphrodite ($30)

We loved the singer’s emerald green eyeshadow look, but it was her glorious hair that really spoke volumes.

Gemma Chan

Chan made a case for monochromatic metallics with her glimmering headpiece and matching silver eyeshadow. The actress kept her lips and cheeks a neutral pink, and her hair simple and sleek.

Key products: Tom Ford Shadow ExtremeTM in Silver ($36),  Dove Style+Care® Compressed Micro Mist Flexible Hold Hairspray ($4)

Ashley Graham

The 41-year-old served up some serious drama with her sleek tophat, shiny black hair beads, and kohl-rimmed smoky eyes. As usual, the actress’s skin was enviably luminous.

Jared Leto

The actor had us seeing double with his hyper-realistic severed head accessory — which, if we may say so — also sported some seriously sexy beach waves.
