In this series, Top 11™, influential people share 11 ways they take care of themselves including beauty, skincare, and aesthetics. Knowledge is power!
If you haven’t yet heard of Julissa Bermudez, then that’s about to change. The 36-year-old host and actress has already been the face of shows like MTV’s® Jersey Shore®: After Hours and BET’s® 106 & Park®. She’ll soon be hosting Central Ave™, a new news and culture show debuting on Fox™ on November 6. But, before she makes this debut, she’s using her face for another opportunity: Bermudez is one of the new brand ambassadors of Origins™, promoting the brand’s GinZing® Gel Moisturizer ($30).
For Bermudez, the partnership was a natural fit. “I’d been receiving influencer packages from Origins, and I loved that there was an environmental element [to the brand],” she says. “I was already a fan, but there was always a level of awareness and consciousness when it came to the packaging.” Bermudez’s high-energy personality is also perfectly paired with the gel moisturizer, as Origins’s formula uses coffee and ginseng — both of which are naturally rich in caffeine — to wake up your skin.
And if there’s anyone who knows a good product, it’s Bermudez. As a host, she’s constantly trying new treatments to get herself looking camera-ready — including her first round of injectable wrinkle reducers in her forehead and around her crow’s feet this past June.
[Editor’s note: Injectable wrinkle reducers are used to temporarily smooth the look of moderate to severe wrinkles in certain areas of the face such as the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. They should not be used more frequently than every three months. Like any medical treatment, they have potential risks and side effects. Be sure to talk to a licensed provider to see if they’re right for you. Have more questions? Chat with our team of trained aesthetics specialists now.]
Bermudez has also mastered the art of the at-home facial, telling us how the day before the Emmy® Awards, she slapped on a T-zone mask to nix some oil. “I try everything, I truly do,” she says. Ahead, Bermudez shares 11 products that help her to look picture-perfect. Get your notepad ready.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser ($21): “I’m very much a skincare girl, and I just love this scrub. It has a super refreshing, wake-up scent that just gets me energized for the day.”
Sunday Riley® Good Genes® ($105): “I discovered Sunday Riley Good Genes at Barneys™ years ago, and I fell in love. I like how Sunday Riley mixes science with beauty, and I love lactic acid as an exfoliant.”
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream ($25): “This stuff is a lifesaver, especially before an event. It has light-reflecting properties, so it helps to brighten my undereyes.”
Facials at Thibiant Beverly Hills® ($155 — $675): “I love my facials. My aesthetician is 70 years old, and she has the softest hands and skin. I love how my skin looks after a facial, so I go to Thibiant in Beverly Hills regularly for them.”
Dr. Barbara Sturm® Enzyme Cleanser ($75): “It’s not abrasive on your skin, but it feels like it’s actually removing things. I love that. I hate super abrasive exfoliants, so this is one I use a lot.”
Neutrogena® Ultra-Soft Makeup Remover Wipes ($7): “Listen, they’re great. I love these wipes. I never sleep with makeup on, no matter how drunk or tired I am. These are great to have on your end table when you don’t want to fully wash your face.”
Rodial Bee Venom® Cleansing Balm ($75): “It’s the best thing to remove my makeup at night. I feel like nothing takes off my makeup better than this.”
Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer ($30): “It’s so energizing. It’s my favorite thing to put on first thing in the morning because it wakes me up.”
L’Oréal® Root Touch-Up Spray ($7) “Yo, If I can’t get to the salon before an event . . . you have no idea. This stuff is my jam. It just helps me look more put together before I have to be on camera.”
PeterThomasRoth® 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gel Eye Patches ($75): “These are one of my go-to products before an event or filming. They’re super brightening, so I use them a lot.”
Mario Badescu Skin Care® Face Mist ($7): “Maybe it’s because I’m a New York girl, but I love this face spray. It’s great for a mist when you need it in the middle of the day.”
