Miranda Kerr’s Beauty Evolution: From Perm Faux Pas to Founding an Organic Skincare Brand

Despite a career full of glam squads, Miranda Kerr experienced a self-proclaimed beauty faux pas early on — after all, she grew up in the 1980s. “When I was younger, everyone had curly hair and was doing perms,” said Kerr, 36. “I had a perm, but I also had a fringe that was straight. That was not the best look for me.”

The Australian supermodel has come a long way since those bad hair days. She’s been a part of major beauty campaigns for Maybelline® and Clinique®, moved to Los Angeles, married Snapchat® co-founder Evan Spiegel, became a mom of three (Flynn, 9, Hart, 2, and newborn Myles), and founded skincare line KORA® Organics, of which she is CEO.

On February 3, the decade-old brand launched its latest product, Noni NightTM AHA Resurfacing Serum, which resurfaces skin and increases cellular turnover for smoother, more refined skin. (Naturally, it’s become a part of Kerr’s skincare routine, too.)

Between debuting products, running a company, raising children (and breastfeeding!), and spending time with her family, Kerr may be sleeping less, but she has no qualms about her complexion. “My skin has never looked better,” said the model/mogul. Of course, we had to ask what she’s doing to keep it looking so great.

In this one-on-one interview, Kerr outlines her step-by-step skincare routine, reveals the best career advice she’s received (which happens to be from her husband), and tells us about the machines she owns for at-home aesthetics treatments.
